TELL ME WHY?
written by Heather Mendes
WHY DID YOU LEAVE ME IN THE COLD?
WHY DID YOU LEAVE ME WITH NONE TO HOLD?
I HATE YOU FOR NOT THINKING OF ME.
I HATE YOU FOR NOT HEARING MY CRY OR SIGH.
I HATE YOU NOW FOR NOT BEING THERE WITH ME;
TEACHING ME LESSONS AND GUIDING ME IN THE RIGHT DIRECTION.
HOW COULD YOU JUST FORGET ABOUT ME?
I'M SO SCARED OF LOSING YOU TO DEATH,
BECAUSE YOU AND JASON ARE ALL I'VE GOT LEFT.
LOOK WHERE I'M AT MOM, AND YOU TELL ME,
IF SOMETIMES I WOULD HATE YOU TOO.
THIS TIME I DON'T WANT YOU TO SAY SORRY. . .
I WANT TO HEAR "I UNDERSTAND".
BECAUSE, YOU DON'T UNDERSTAND HOW MUCH IT HURTS,
OR HOW MUCH PAIN I FEEL,
OF MY DAD LEAVING WHEN I WAS A DADDY'S GIRL,
AND THEN YOU TAKING ME TO THOSE PEOPLE I BEGAN TO HATE.
THEN YOU GOING AWAY TOO.
DO YOU KNOW MOM?
DO YOU KNOW THE PAIN I GO THROUGH EVERY DAY
OF YOU NOT BEING HERE, TAKING ME TO SCHOOL,
BEING THERE ON BIRTHDAYS, OR GOING SHOPPING,
JUST BEING A FRIEND TO ME?
IT HURTS SO BAD I JUST SOMETIMES CAN'T TAKE THE PAIN ANYMORE..
SO TELL ME WHY, WHY, WHY, WHY, WHY, WHY?
