30 Years -- Methamphetamine Conspiracy
I would like to be placed on your mailing list. I learned about TNC when I was at FCI Greenville, but was waiting to be transferred here. I now live in the same unit as your friend and drug war prisoner, Glenn, and he sure has helped me understand what TNC is doing to help fight this senseless war. People like Glenn are invaluable to all of us that are locked up. So, I would like to say "thank you" to him and everyone who helps us keep up to date. I would also like to thank all of the people who are working so hard to free us.
I received a thirty year sentence for conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine. My entire case was based on the words of paid informants. I was never found in possession of any drugs or drug notes or anything that showed that I sold drugs, yet the government used testimony from drug addicts who were promised reduced sentences and immunity from prosecution against me.
I have two young boys at home -- Richard Jr. (left) and Taylor ages, 12 and 8. I haven't seen them since 1995 when I was in county jail awaiting sentencing. I talk to them as often as I can, but it is not the same as being able to see and hold them. Hopefully now that I am closer to home, my family will be able to bring them to see me.
I am also sending you some addresses of my family and friends in hopes that they will understand how important it is to learn about the drug war and begin writing and speaking out against this war. I hope that your print my letter so that they can see how important this is to me and everyone else that is in this same mess.
My appeals are about over. I've lost two already. The only way that we will be able to go home is end this war on drugs. But it won't happen without our families and friends writing to our legislators and telling them they want it to end.
I want my boys to know that I miss and love them very much.
